Together We Change What Is Possible
WHY THE CHURCH
Poiema exists at move women and children from brokenness to restoration through Christ-centered transitional living and support. We do that through housing, trauma recovery, life skills, job readiness, and spiritual formation because we believe that every person is designed with value and made for purpose as God’s poiema.
The local church is our most natural partner in that work. You pray. You serve. You give. You amplify. And when a woman in your congregation faces homelessness, domestic violence, substance use, or reentry after incarceration — needs that may exceed what your congregation can support — Poiema is your resource. We provide the high-structure, wraparound care that empowers her to rebuild with dignity, purpose, and hope.
“Resilience is not the absence of breaking. It is what you build from the pieces.”
—Tiffany Barber, Executive Director
What we build together
What the church provides: Prayer, volunteer support, financial partnership, and a community for a woman to belong to after the program ends.
What Poiema provides: High-structure residential care, trauma recovery, housing, transportation, life skills, job readiness, and wraparound accountability in a Christ-centered community.
Together we do what neither can do alone. A woman who is housed, healed, and held by a community that empowers her to restore her life.

GETTING STARTED
What Saying Yes Looks Like
Three steps. No committee. Just a clear path from conversation to connection.
01
Come to Be Our Guest
Experience Poiema firsthand. Meet the team, hear the stories, ask every question. This is where most partnerships begin.
02
Have the Conversation
A 30-minute Zoom with Tiffany or our development team. We will listen, share what partnership looks like, and help you find your lane
03
Choose Your Impact
No pressure. No minimum. Just a commitment to show up in the way your congregation is best positioned to. We take it from there.
BE OUR GUEST
The First Step Is an Invitation
Come and see what God is doing. Be Our Guest is an open door for any church leader who wants to understand the mission before they commit to it. One invitation. One visit. One partnership that invites your congregation to make it possible.
