Poiema is a place of healing and hope.
More than transitional housing, Poiema Movement offers long-term, Christ-centered care for individual women and mothers with children (ages 10 and under) recovering from addiction, domestic violence, homelessness, incarceration, or trauma.
Women live in safe, shared homes and receive daily, hands-on support, including case management, life skills classes, parenting support, recovery guidance, and practical help with employment, savings, and stability.
Located in Southern Maryland, we serve women who are ready to rebuild their lives in a community rooted in faith, dignity, and hope.
